  • The Castaway's Wife

Mixed Media - Acrylic, gouache, and watercolor 42x59.4cm

She was cultured, yet she could not grasp what the road held in store for her. Tragedy extended its hand, and together they journeyed toward Oz like sisters. On that path, they encountered drama, weeping, and hope, which waited at the end of the road—almost at the gates of the castle where the wizard awaited them. Her path was mended step by step, woven and unraveled the moment she remembered her husband—the reason for the tragedy she had begun to embrace, to understand, and in which she found solace. The wizard was the path, the path was the tragedy, and the tragedy was the absence.
